The first Sistagrrl Riott took place at Brownies (RIP) On February 14th, 1998. Those who bear witness say the LES was never the same again. As Maya (Mother Goddess) ripped the opening chords of her theme song AKA Patty Smith's "Rock 'n' Roll Nigger" and I turned to my right to see Monk (Brother Earth) starting a mosh pit, I knew we were onto something...
